Sick Moms
Getting sick is never easy. For me, I rarely get sick. When I do, it's difficult. Balancing work with a family on top of it all makes things so much stressful. I don't have to time to be sick for lots of days at a time. That's why I use these methods to quickly recover.
Step 1: Boost Your Immune System
Vitamins!
Vitamin C
Vitamin D&D3
Echinacea
Zinc
Vitamin B Complex
*take daily
Juice!
You'll need:
1 Garlic
2 Oranges
1 Cucumber
1/4 Ginger Root
1 Lime or 1 Lemon
Juice all into a single container. Take a shot every 6 hours.
*keep refrigerated
Step 2: Rest!
Mom! You need to rest. I know, I know, the laundry needs to be done. Dinner needs to be prepared. You have work obligations. The list goes on and on. Trust me when I say, it can wait. The more you try to push through, the longer it'll take for your body to heal. Give your body rest so that it can use that energy to fight against your cold or flu. Limit your screen time so that your body can rest. Although watching TV or scrolling through your phone seems like nothing, it's actually keeping you awake when you need to be asleep.
Step 3: Take Medicine
This step is optional. I'm not a huge fan of medicine. In fact, I rarely take it. I have a sensitive nervous system and I have to be very careful about which medicines I take.
My go-to is Mucinex: All In One. It works fast! It's not like those heavy cold & flu medicines that leaves you feeling loopy and drowsy. Plus! The flavor isn't bad either.
